E3 2012: XBOX Music

At their conference, Miscrosoft announced a new service titled XBOX Music. A very customizable music service coming to XBOX 360, Windows 8, and Windows Phones.

From the video shown, you can assume that XBOX Music will encourage the social aspect of sharing music - in a sense setting up a musical social network with you and your XBOX Live friends.

There also seems to be some form of connectivity for those who have XBOX's and Windows Phone's.

E3 2012: Gears of War, Forza: Horizon

The new instalment in Gears of War was announced this week and the first trailer was shown here. Bit silly seeming as Gears 3 was meant to be the last. The trailer is what you'd expect, lots of action and an awesome soundtrack.

Meanwhile, Forza: Horizon was shown. It's a new, more arcadey version of the classic Forza formula. The trailer tried to show as much action as possible as well, but it didn't really sell me. I'm sure this'll be a solid racer, but it doesn't look like it's doing much new. You'll be able to check it out on October 23rd 2012.

E3 2012: EA Sports Voice Commands

Oh dear...

EA has come on and revealed their Kinect voice commands for EA Sports. FIFA came first, and worked well but was just a little pointless. I wish Microsoft would stop shoe-horning Kinect in and instead focus onn a worthwhile Kinect game.

Joe Montana came on for the Madden presentation. Again, worked fine, wasn't particularly interesting.

August 28th, mark it down if you like sports and gimmicks.

E3 2012: Splinter Cell: Blacklist

At Microsoft's E3 conference, straight after they showed off Halo 4, Ubisoft came to the stage with the rumoured Splinter Cell: Blacklist. 

The game boasts some surprisingly clever, but admittedly gimmicky Kinect voice recognition, as well as some great looking action and setpieces. With an interesting story, I've got a great feeling about this one. The game takes place in the middle east where terrorist groups have acquired and taken advantage of the blacklist.

The game will feature single player and co-op, along with the fan-favourite Spy vs. Mercs and will be hitting shelves next Spring.

The Amazing Spider-Man: 4 Minute Preview!!

Yesterday, this "super-preview" of this summer's Amazing Spider-Man was aired! The first minute or two shows a never before seen scene of Spidey saving victims of the Lizard's attack. Then we see the previously released Amazing Spider-Man trailer - albeit with some subtle changes.

Diamond Sales Top 10 Comics: April 2012

This month Marvel takes the top spot with Avengers vs. X-Men #2. Marvel's other 3 top 10 titles are AvX tie-ins, so it seems that even though the critics may not be in love with Marvel's big event, the comic buying public haven't had enough just yet. Wolverine and the X-Men #9 and New Avengers #24 (both AvX tie-ins) are just outside the top 10 at No. 11 and No. 12 respectively.

SCROLL DOWN FOR THE FULL TOP 10!

DC's highest title is Batman #8 at No. 2, it beats Justice League this week due to the "Night of the Owls" cross-over. DC's books that didn't quite make the top 10 included Superman #8, and The Flash #8 at No. 13 and 14 respectively.

Here's the top 10 best-selling comics of April:

1. Avengers vs. X-Men #2
2. Batman #8
3. Justice League #8
4. AvX VS #1
5. Green Lantern #8
6. Action Comics #8
7. Detective Comics #8
8. Batman: The Dark Knight #8
9. Uncanny X-Men #11
10. Avengers #25

As for the smaller publishers, Dynamite Entertainment had one book in the top 100 - Shadow #1 - which came in at No. 31.
Image Comics' highest book this week was The Walking Dead #96 which came in at No. 47.
Dark Horse's biggest book of the month was Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 9 #8 which made it to No. 74.
Boom! Studios' only book in the top 100 was Fanboys vs Zombies #1 which came in at #80.
Finally, IDW didn't make the top 100! But their highest selling book wasn't too far out - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #9 had to settle for No. 102.
